Art Exhibition

In collaboration with "All Can Be Frida" project, The Artists Pool invites artists to submit artworks of their own creative ideas channelling the spirit of Frida Kahlo.  Transmitting her strength, her fearless attitude with which she approach her lust for life, her art and the enduring power that led her to overcome injury, illness and heartbreak.

Artwork Delivery:  Sunday 19 August 7:00 - 8:30 pm  or  20 August 10am - 12 Noon

Private View: 23 August 2018, 6 - 9 pm
Exhibition Open To Public: 22 Aug - 2 Sept  2 - 7 pm
Collection of unsold work: 2 Sept 2018 3 - 5:30 pm.

Maximum Artwork Entries: 3
First or Single Entry Price: £35
Additional Entries: £35 per artwork up to 3 artworks.

Exhibition Entry Information

Venue:  Espacio Gallery, 159 Bethnal Green Rd., London, E2 7DG

​Upon submission artwork/s must  be accompanied with the following:

  • Image/s

  • Size

  • Title

  • Medium

  • Price

  • An artist statement not more than 100 words to accompany your work along with you your website

Terms and Conditions:

  • There are no restrictions based on age, training or nationality.

  • Can submit up to 3 different artworks, of any medium from paintings, photography, mosaic, mixed media, and textile, installation and sculpture.  If selected, one - three will be chosen for exhibition.

  • Framed artwork cannot be larger than 100 x 100 cm including frame and must not be smaller than 40 x 40 cm along the longest dimension.

  • If selected, all work must be received in exhibition ready condition, all canvas work must be stretched and photographs framed,  D-rings attached in the back for hanging.  

  • Works received without D-rings, and unframed photographs and prints will not be exhibited.  Clip frames for photography will not be accepted.

  • Must be the owner and the work(s) submitted are of their own origination. The Artist must hold all moral and intellectual property rights.

  • The organisers or gallery will not be liable for any loss or damage to any artworks physically submitted at any point.  

  • We recommend that the Artist insure their artwork, especially in transit and while being exhibited

  • Artist accept that all work submitted will be available for sale in the exhibition(s) and on our website until the end of the period, the artwork is collected.

  • There is a 15% commission on all sales

  • All Artists agree that we may reproduce their work, only in association with the exhibition (including press/publicity/website and catalogue and any other printed or digital material, advertising the exhibitions).

  • Artists submitting work from any countries outside UK and EU must be registered before submitting your work online.

  • Artists who are not resident in the UK but are resident in the EU are welcome to submit work. If your work is sold at the exhibition you have a responsibility to register and account for UK VAT with H.M. Revenue & Customs.

  • Please note that we do not offer refunds for entries.

Image Uploads
Image files should be JPG or PNG and no more than 5MB large. Upload time will depend on your internet connection speed so please be patient. If you are having problems uploading your images please use image editing software to resize your image to approximately 1600 pixels wide and then save as a new file. Image file names should not be too long and should not contain any invalid characters such as ' " & % * ( ) < > / \ ~ # + =

Work selected for exhibition will be expected to be for sale. Commission is charged by the gallery. It will be assumed that the sale price includes the cost of any frame and our commission. Please allow for these points when pricing your work. Prices should include VAT if applicable. If you are VAT registered please provide a VAT number in the box provided.

All communication will be by email. Successful applicants will be notified by email and must respond within one week to confirm participation. Failure to do so could result in work being withdrawn From the exhibition.

The Selectors will consider all correctly completed submissions. The decision of the Selectors on all matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. All works accepted for exhibition will be displayed entirely at the artists' risk and organisers and the gallery will not accept liability for loss or damage occurring during the exhibition.

Delivery and Collection
Artists are responsible for the delivery and collection of their work at the Gallery. All packaging materials must be removed after delivery (no gallery storage is available for this) and brought back at collection. If you are applying from overseas please consider how you will get your work to and from the exhibition at the required times.
Work not collected at the stated times will be subject to a daily charge of £10 and will be disposed of after one week.

By submitting to the exhibition you are deemed to accept and agree to the following:
The decision of the Selectors on all matters Is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
I understand that The Organisers reserves the right to make such changes to the exhibition arrangements and these Terms & Conditions as may be deemed necessary by circumstances.
I authorise The Organisers To process, store, and utilise the data in my submission and agree that, if selected for exhibition, images of my work can be freely used by The Organisers, The Gallery and associated organisations for promotional and publicity purposes.
All information provided by me is true and accurate and that the work submitted is wholly of my own creation.
I have read and understood these terms and conditions and by submitting this application I accept and agree to observe all the Terms And Conditions therein.
